Yes, we have no-egg nog. And it’s rich and creamy and plant-powered!

Is it better to have no-egg nog, than no egg nog?

Hell ya.

Happy holidays!

PS – This is super quick to whip up!

Rich and creamy egg-free egg nog! Made with aquafaba!

Note: Makes about 3 1/2 cups. It will deflate/reduce a little bit after sitting.

  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk. {If you only have the sweetened kind, leave out the sugar to start and then sweeten as needed.}
  • 1/4 cup {vegan} white sugar
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons coconut milk (the canned kind, not the milk substitute kind)
  • 1/2 cup aquafaba (aka, the liquid from a can of chickpeas. Use unsalted chickpeas and reserve the chickpeas for another recipe, like this Beautiful Beet Hummus.)
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, plus more for serving
  • optional, 1/8 tsp turmeric (this is for colour)
  • optional, some rum

Rich and creamy egg-free egg nog. For a perfect plant-powered xmas!

  1. In a large bowl:
    • combine together the sugar, spices and coconut milk until smooth.
    • whisk in the almond milk until combined.
  2. In a second large bowl, whip the aquafaba until it forms soft peaks.
  3. Fold the aquafaba into the contents of the first bowl.
  4. Serve chilled with a sprinkle more of nutmeg.
  5. Optionally, add some rum!
  6. Enjoy!
