Ever see that show on Spike TV a few years back – Deadliest Warrior – where they’d simulate a match up of historic fighters and their weapons of choice and see who’d out-violent whom? So it would be the Samurai versus the Mongols, or the Gurkhas against the French Foreign Legion? Well, that came to mind when I was conjuring up this recipe and others in the Drink Your…Vegetables series.
When one of your ingredients is armed with sulfur, such as the cruciferous cauliflower – then you gotta do what you gotta do to make it a fair fight. So here’s how to counteract that strong flavour – or at least turn it into a bloodless draw. Start by adding pineapple – our fearless fruit, throw in a splash of orange juice, and then provide that last thrust with rosemary, our thorny spear.

You’ll need a good blender for this.
Ingredients
- 2 cups chopped cauliflower
- 2 cup chopped pineapple
- 1/2 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
- 3 teaspoons rosemary
- 1 cup ice
- 1 cup water, plus additional as needed
Instructions
Throw in blender and press the Whole Juice button or your blender’s equivalent. Add more water as necessary.
